Does Naxdom Has Any Side Effects And How To Treat Migraine Without The Pills?

I am suffering from migrane during my menstrual cycle generally and have been suggested to take naxdom 500 whenever having an headache by a neurologist....it works miracles when i take the medicine....but am getting used to it....any suggestion to avoid this.....i take 2 pills in a month bjt worried about the side effects

I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

Naxdom contains two ingredients which are naproxen and domperidone. The first is an over the counter (meaning no prescription is required) pain killer and the other addresses vomiting often associated with migraine. The fact that they are over the counter products should indicate you that they do not have major side effects. None of them are related to dependence, there is no risk of creating any addiction. So if your usage is limited to 2 pills a month I do not think you have any reason to be concerned about side effects or getting used to the medication. Actually you should be quite pleased it is so effective for you, as in many migraine patients other medication is necessary.

Regarding ways to treat migraine without pills I am afraid there is no such option, migraine is a chronic condition. In some patients were the triggering factor can be removed (certain foods for example) that can be achieved, but since in your case it's triggered by menstrual cycle it can't be done. Only when you reach menopause may migraines spontaneously improve.
