Does Metronidazole Possess Any Adverse Effect?

How long before metronizadole is in your system. I am concerned about side effects. I have been on it for only one day- 2pills/2x a day. Does it start working quickly? There is a warning about alcohol. If I have a glass of wine with dinner tonight will I get sick even though I have only been on it for one day? Thanks

Not many.
The ones most commonly seen are it makes you more sensitive to adverse reactions to alcohol ("an antabuse like effect"). or there can be allergy to it. Yeah, it would be expected to make someone feel sick with even one glass of wine.
