Does Losartan Cause Redness On The Face?

I just started taking Losartan Potassium 25mg this morning. My doctor replaced Lisinopril with the Losartan (I was having bad side effects with the Lisinopril). I had a much better day today. However, now my face has become flushed. Also, my blood pressure is low 140 s over mid 80 s tonight. Is this a medication that works better over time? The Lisinopril did quickly lower my pressure, but unfortunately, the side effects were not worth it. Thank you for your time and help!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Losartan is a relatively safe drug and side effects are very minimal. Redness and flushing of face is not reported with Losartan.
Long term effect of Losartan is excellent.
Flushing may be due to rapid fall in BP. No need to worry.
If symptoms persist, have an opinion with your physician.

Wishing you good health.
Thanks
