Does Losartan Cause Hiccups And Involuntary Shaking?

My name is Robert I have haD HICCUPS FOR THE PAST 9 DAYS THET STOP AND START DACK SOME TIME MY STOMPE SHAKES I WENT TO THE DOCTOR EMR THEY GAVE ME SOME MED. THORAZINE IT HELPS BUT (AFTER 6 OR 8 HRS IT WILL START BACK THE DOCTOR SAID ONE OF MY MEDS ( LOSARTAN 100 MG MIGHT HAE AN EFFECT.

Hi and thank you so much for this query.

Hiccups are not a well recognied side effect of losartan. Dry cough may be a possibility and not hiccup. If the onset of this cough coincides with the introduction of this medication, then there may be a logical argument in support of this. If your doctor feels strongly about this being caused by losartan, there are several medications for high blood out there that he can just get you off this medications and switch you to one of them.
