Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Arrhythmia means your heart beats are not regular. One cause could be hypertension for long term. Others include electrolytes imbalance. Long term use of hydrochlorothiazide is associated with electrolytes imbalance. Should check blood electrolytes to see if there is any imbalance there. If heart failure is present, that can explain having arrhythmias too. However, most of the time no known reason could explain the onset of arrhythmia. Discuss this further with your caring doctor. Let me know if you have any other concern.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
