It is used to treat active, mild to moderate ulcerative colitis. More common side effects include with its use include: constipation, dyspepsia, skin rash and vomiting. It does not cause swelling of extremities. Wheres, the other medication what you are using Budesonide , is a synthetic corticosteroid. It can cause certain side effects you are experiencing due to fluid retention. Swelling of the extremities, palpitations due to increased blood pressure, headache, tiredness, weight gain, nausea and vomiting are some of the side effects commonly encountered with use of such corticosteroid medications.
