General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Yes, Calcium supplements or antacids containing calcium can interfere with the absorption of thyroid hormone replacement medications such as synthetic thyroid hormones levothyroxine as well as thyroid extract supplements. Keep a gap of at least 4 hours between the two medication.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
