Does Hypothyroidism Cause Weight Gain And Severe Lower Legs Pain?

I m 26 yeats old. I m married 7months back. After my marriage my weigh was increasing 3-4 kgs per month. I consulted doctor.It was found that I m effected with hypothyrodism.My TSH level was 51.6 and T3 and T4 levels were lower.My weight was 71 kgs,height 160 cms. I took Thyronorm for for 6 weeks( 4 days- 25 mcg, 4 days - 50 mcg, 4 days- 75 mcg, remaining days- 100 mcg). Again took test for throid levels.Now my TSH is 6.18, T3, T4 level are normal.But my weight is 71.7 kgs. As sugegsted by doctor I m following diet for the day i started medication but my weigh didn t get decreased. From last 15 days I m suffering from severe lowerlegs pain.Please let me know the reason for my legs pain and why my weight got increased and how can I decrease it?

I have gone through your question.
I can understand your concern.

You have hypothyroidism. Weight gain and leg pain are common in hypothyroidism. Your TSH is high with low T3 and T4. You need thyroid supplement like thyronorm. Consult your doctor and set the dosage to maintain your TSH at low normal range. Once your TSH comes under control your weight will reduced.
