Does Fentanyl Transdermal System Patch Cause Numbness In The Fingers?

I have been on fentanyl transdermal system 50 mcg/hr for three months while waiting for a hip replacement. I have noticed lately that the fingers on my right hand have got numb. It started with just my middle finger and spread to my first finger and my ring finger. Could that be a side affect?
