my son is on several seizures medicines and has lost weight. can medicines interact with each other to cause weight loss. He has the lennox gaastaut syndrome and is 36 years old. medicines he is on is felbamate 400 mg ,two tablets twice a day banzel 400 mg two tablets twice a day Depakote 250 mg one tablet twice a day aptiom 400 mg one tablet in evening florastor 250 mg one in morning. We are concerned with his weight loss. He is 6 ft and weights 133 pds. can you help thanks

Answer: There is no known interaction reported amongst these medications. However, some of the drugs can lead to anorexia (loss of appetite) especially Felbamate and depakote.
