General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
It is not used to prevent pregnancy.

Excedrin which contains Acetaminophen, Aspirin, and Caffeine.
It is commonly used to treat pain caused by tension headaches, migraine headaches, muscle aches, menstrual cramps, arthritis, toothaches, the common cold, or nasal congestion.

Now, since you have already had an unprotected sex yesterday, you can take emergency contraceptive pill within 72 hours of the sexual act after consulting a gynecologist.

Taken within 72 hours, the emergency contraceptive can be up to 95% effective in preventing an unwanted pregnancy.

Hope this answers your query.
