Does Ecosprin Withdrawal Cause Recurrent Fainting?

My mother age 82 had a history of brain stroke 15 years back also she had deep vein thrombosis in leg several times. She had been on ecospirin 75 mg since then. Recently, a month back , a family physician stopped her ecospirin . Now slowly & slowly she has been losing her consciousness & speech now she has developed a fresh brain stroke. Do you think it is a withdrawal symptoms of ecospirin ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Why did they withdraw Ecospirin for a stroke patient? Maybe INR was more? I don't know what was the situation which made your doctor withdraw it but for now it’s very important to start any blood thinner or if there any blood clot happens she can have a stroke again or dysphasia. Kindly go to ER and admit her.

Hope this information helps you sort out your problems. If you feel it’s helpful then kindly give me a user thank vote.
Happy Health!
Regards,
Dr. Archana
