Does Dusphaston Cause An Increase In The Size Of The Fibroids?

I have about 7cm intramural fibroid ,and doctor recommended dusphaston tablet for me ,so my question is taking this duphaston does it increase the size of the fibroid? because I don t want the size to increase again because I have once removed fibroid about that size so I want to manage it to have all my children before thinking about another myometomy .please doctor answer me .

Hi,

The use of Duphaston may not increase the size of fibroids. Few studies have shown that there is no substantial difference found between drug users and non-drug users.

It also helps in few patients with dysfunctional uterine bleeding and there is no need to worry about this.
