Dear Madhuri, Hi
Duphastan (
Dydrogesterone) is a progesterone which generally given to regulate cycles.
It is not a fertility medication but you will be able to get pregnant if you start taking it.
It is useful where the luteal phase defect (
progesterone deficiency) causes infertility.
It also helps in maintaining the pregnancy once you become pregnant.
It make the uterine environment favorable for the pregnancy.
Since you wish to conceive, you should get yourself thoroughly evaluated by an infertility specialist. Infertility can be due to hormonal imbalance, diseases of the ovaries or uterus, certain underlying medical illness or
hypothyroidism.
You may be required to get the following workup done:
Thorough clinical examination, pelvic ultrasound scan done transvaginally.
Hormonal levels - FSH, LH, TSH, Prolactin, OGTT, DHEAS, Free
testosterone,
lipid profile, etc.
Folvite contains vitamin Folic Acid which is used to treat anemia due to increased requirement of folate in the body during pregnancy.
