Does Dimet Affect Glucose Test Results?

Hi, I am 29 weeks pregnant. And I am obese. During my 9th week my doctor advised me to have 500mg Dimet once a day, as she was anticipating sugar problems, though my sugar test were all normal. Since then I have been on Dimet 500mg. This week I have my glucose test, should I take my Dimet as always the previous day of the tes? what implications will it have on my test?

Dear madam, greetings from HCM. If your glucose levels were high you need to continue tablets as high sugar in pregnancy could affect both child and mother. You need to continue tablets and keep following up with your glucose levels may be with a glucometer . You need to keep a track of your glucose levels , both fasting and postprondial. Take more of green leafy vegetables, minimal carbohydrates, night protein diet. You need yo walk regularly. Do contact us for more question . thank you .
