Does Cipro Cause Swelling And Fluid Retention In The Knees?

I STARTED TAKING CIPRO 500 MG THREE TIMES A DAY FOR 7 DAYS FOR A COLON INFECTION. tODAY WHICH IS THE THIRD DAY INTO THE MEDICATION MY LEFT KNEE IS EXTREMLY SWOLLEN AND FULL OF FLUID. i ALSO HAVE SEVERE PAIN IN THE BACK OF MY KNEE AND UP THE BACK OF MY LEG AND DOWN MY CALF MUSCLE. i WAS TOLD THAT THIS CAN BE A SIDE AFFECT OF THE CIPRO IS THIS POSSIBLE AS i HAVE NOT INJURED MY KNEE.

As far as my clinical experience is concerned, the Ciprofloxacin can cause such joint effusion via it's side effect over synovial joints (though not common, it is possible).
