Does Chiari Malformation Cause Impaired Speech?
Hi my mom has chiari and she just recently had a stroke.. we believe it was a stroke and now she has a speach impairment. Where she can t talk fast and stutters.. can this be caused by chiari? a doctor says it s all in her head but my family and I know there s more too this than her head making this up. Her head feels on fire which may also be caused by her cystitis fibrosis. . Should we see a high up professional such as Chicago or Cleveland ohio? And what do you think has caused her speach impairment?

I really appreciate your concern, there is area in brain which controls the speech if this is being affected by any pathology then speech impairs, so the possibility of speech in this case may be due to stroke until and unless some other etiology being detected, hope this information helps, take care.
