Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query
I appreciate your concern for your father's health.
Calaptin is Verapamil the main side effects of which are constipation, headache, dizziness or a low BP. If your father is an anxious person or consumes caffeine rich beverages that may be the cause of his irregular heart beat as his tests were normal. Feeling weak can be psychological or due to a number of factors. If it is persistent and constant, it would be good to see an internist and have a general check up.

If you have more queries, i am available
Wish your father good health,
Dr. Noble Zachariah
