Children who have infectious diarrhea or some inflammatory diarrhea will have altered flora in the gut which can be changed back to normal with probiotics. Bifilac poweder needs to be mixed with clean drinking water before use. Once the water is added, the medicine can be used for a maximum of 5 days. Rest should be discarded. You can give 5 mL of the solution upto 3 times a day. If the loose stools are persisting or the child develops any signs of dehydration consult the pediatrician for physical examination and for further management.
