General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Baryta Carb-30 or silicea or symphytum-Q are unlikely to cause acromegaly. These medications are well tolerated by most of the patients and there is no documented serious side effect. Acromegaly occurs due to excessive secretion of growth hormone from the pituitary gland and its most common cause is a tumor (adenoma) of the anterior pituitary. I advise you to consult your doctor for proper clinical examination and lab tests followed by imaging studies (MRI) to determine the cause of suspected acromegaly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
