Does Asthalin Inhaler Has Steroids In It?

Hello Doctor,

I was using Asthalin Inhaler for my Breathing problem prescribed by my doctor form my age 20. Now I am 31 were i use once in a day atleast. My question is, i am doing dieting for almost a year, but i am putting lot of weight.
I came to know Asthalin Inhaler has steroids which will keep me in growing , Is that True?

No the asthaline inhaler does not contains steroids, the contents of asthaline is salbutamol which is a beta 2 receptor stimulant , which stimulates beta 2 receptors & causes dilatation of airways.
It has side effects such as tremors,headache, palpititions & tachycardia, but as of now salbutamol is not known to cause the side effect of weight gain.
So there must be some another cause for putting on your wheight.
So my advice is that you should have prper physician consultation for this problem.
You may also consult dietician for the proper diet advice to check your weight.
But it is wrongly communicated that asthalin contains steroid & causes weight gain.
