Does Amaryl M1 Work Effectively For Diabetes?

Hi , I have been prescribed Amayrl M2 initially ( 1/2 tab morn and 1/2 tab even) and now have been shifted to Amaryl M1 1 tab morn and even. In light of the reports of banned drugs for Diabetes, just want to check if the medicine I take does not contain the same.
