Does Alfoo Cause Low Libido?

hello doctor, I have been suggested by a Urologist to have Alfoo (10) one in a day after food for one month. when I browsed for the side effects, I saw that it will decrease sexual function. could you please advise is it true and if it s true, how it will cause for decreasing the sexual function ? thanks

Alfoo(alfluzosin) can cause impotency in 1-2% of patients. Decreasing sexual function or low libido is usually secondary to impotency. And Alfoo causing only low libido as a direct effect is extremely rare.
The reason why it causes impotency is related to how the drug acts in the body. It decreases the adrenergic flow to the prostate and surrounding tissues. This could be the reason for impotency.
