Does Advil Interact With Tramadol?

I have slightly low functioning kidneys and cannot take Advil or the other NSAIDS. Is InstaFlex safe for me to take? Also, which anti-inflammatory is good for someone like me? I am currently weaning off Tramadol for good , almost done. Thanks. Lois H.

Hi Lois,

I am sorry for the health problems you are going through.

Instaflex can be used although you have low functioning kidneys. I'm concerned about its ingredient MSM, so far studies have not concluded any bad effect on low functioning kidneys if taken in prescription doses.

In general, all NSAIDs can precipitate further damages to already damaged kidney. So, you need to work with your doctor closely in order to evaluate the function of your kidney while on anti-inflammatory meds.

All the best.
