Does adderall affect male fertility (sperm) in a way that would cause a missed abortion? Here is my scenario - I am a 30 yr old male. A few years ago I was diagnosed with adult ADD and have been taking adderall xr 25mg once a day. When my wife and I first starting trying, she got pregnant and miscarried around her 7th week. Unrelated to baby making, I was wondering if the adderall was really helping me or not so I stopped taking it about 8 months after I started. During the time I was off it, my wife got pregnant again and we had a normal healthy baby. During my 'test cycle' of being off ADD, all of my ADD issues had been occuring again so sometime after she was pregnant I started taking adderall again. I've realized that it does help enormously with my ADD issues. I have been on it since. Now since we've had our child and I've been back on ADD, my wife has gotten pregnant twice and both resulted in missed abortions. So to summarize, the 3 times she got pregnant while I was on adderall she has missed abortions. The only time she got pregnant when I was not on adderal we had a normal healthy child. It would seem like if I was on adderall at the time of making the baby that it could be a cause of something (perhaps it messes up the chromosomes or something?). Or is this merely a coincidence?
