Does Actalin Supplement Increase The Levothyroxine Dosage?

I am currently on Levothyroxin 300 mcg + .25 mcg. Have been on thyroid meds for 52 yrs (since I was 4). For years I took synthriod and after having both boys (1993 last one) my level stayed at a 300 mcg for yrs. synthyroid got so expensive so switched to gen like 10 yrs ago. It took a long time but my thyroid didn t feel up to par so Dr boosted it the .25 mcg. feel great again. but test says it s too high. so if i try the Actalin, will it boost my levothroxin?

Hi,

You should continue Levothyroxine as you are taking as usual, Actalin is a supplement you can try for few days. If you find it useful you can continue. If something is an unusual finding then stop it. Moreover, it will not cause any symptoms [repeat level after 30 days of starting].

Diet should include more fruits, vegetables, salads, 7-8 glasses of water [don't take immediately after food water, 20 mins before or after is good]. This will boost immunity [avoid caffeine, alcohol, smoking area, canned foods, goitrogens, white sugar replaced by jaggery, use basil, aloe vera, lemon, antioxidants are good.

One ongoing research shows online happyness course or ombw shows promise in hypothyroid [sukshm yoga is good for thyroid gland physiologically] you can take benefit from this workshop, it will also improve quality of life.
