Do Warts On Penis Post Having Unprotected Sex Suggest HIV Infection?

Hello sir iam 29 year old male iam having relationship with my girl friend for more than six months now.. We did had sex three months back once.. And again I recently had unprotected sex ten days back after the sex in the morning my penis was looking too dry so I had applied durex lubrication gel and had sex then after my penis getting erected but not getting hard enough to go in.. So we cudnt hav sex later after five days I got warts on my penis so was scared and went to skin specialist he said it is because of sex u got it and he asked me to get tested for hiv and iam very scared to get tested.!.!!! After three days the warts has completely cured now...Could please tell me is dat warts is the symptoms for HIV..?? Iam so depressed about this problem can you please suggest me what I need to do know ..??

Warts in genital area are not caused by HIV so the fact that you have genital warts does not mean you have HIV. The reason the doctor is asking you to have HIV test done is because warts in genital area are considered a sexually transmitted disease and when a patient has one of them we test for all the rest and HIV among them. Most of patients tested for sexually transmitted disease do not have the other ones but is always safer to be tested to rule them out. So testing for HIV is a routine test than rather you having it. Also you will need to practice safe sex which is intercourse within a faithful relationship or at least using of condoms otherwise, even though condoms do not protect 100% from sexually transmitted diseases.
