Do The Numbers Indicating Heart Failure Related To BNP Test?

My father is in congestive heart failure. He has been told his heart failure number is 2750. It was 3500 on Sunday when he went to the ER. He says it s supposed to be under 100. I don t understand what this number is? Is it related to a BNP test?

Hello,

it has to be the BNP, since there is no "heart failure number". The only blood test that I can think of and that is related to heart failure is the BNP. So anything above 700-800 is too high. Around 3000 is sky high!

I hope I've helped!
Kind regards!
