Do The Blisters Or The Virus Causes Bleeding In The Mouth?

My daughter will be 2 in July. Four days ago her doctor diagnosed her with the hands, foot, mouth virus. She no longer has a fever but is still very cranky. She only has the blisters/sores in her mouth, not on her feet or hands yet. Yesterday I noticed her mouth was bleeding. I looked and it was coming from her gums around her one front tooth. She never fell or hit that area. It seemed to stop bleeding, but when i got her up this morning, her crib sheet had blood on it. It was a pretty good amount, larger than a baseball. What could this be? Could the blisters in her mouth be bleeding? Does this virus cause bleeding in the mouth? Please Help!!!

I have gone through your question and understand your concern and I would like to inform that bluster in the mouth in your daughter may cause the bleeding in her mouth.
