Do Stomach Cramps And Diarrhea After Eating Out Mean Infection?

i went to Jordan and ate traditionall Mensaf. i am nw having stomack cramps and diarrhea. might I hav contrated some form of bacteria? i am from the states. I took the spasmo tablet as i have been given it for cramping and diarrhea. Should I see a physician or is it ok. am enroute to Saudi now. Are there foods i should stay away from? I am american. thank you.

Hello,

You may be suffering from acute gastroenteritis or food poisoning or irritable bowel syndrome or food intolerance.

Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid smoking and caffeine drinks. Use tablet pantoprazole before breakfast for one week.

Avoid gluten and lactose contain food. if symptoms not improved please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
