Do Sore Throats Cause White Stripes At The Back Of The Throat?
My 17 year old has an extremely sore throat which started last Thursday (it s now 12:44 am on Wednesday). She has had a bit of fever off and on but mostly she just has a throat so sore she can t swallow and Advil, Tylenol and Aleeve have all failed to give her any relief. We took her to emerge on Sunday night, they swabbed her and said it wasn t strep but she is so sore she is hysterical at times. There is a vertical, prominent white stripe running down the back of her throat that looks like an exposed tendon or something (not at all like mucus). What can this be?
