Hi,
Noted your history of mucus in stool, red sores around anus, unprotected sex, wants to know what is this, whether
Herpes or
Hepatitis C.
Mucus in stool is indicative of an intestinal infection which affects the peri-anal area skin as a condition called excoriation.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Get the stool checked for three consecutive days.
Consult your Doctor for proper visualization of the area and get started on an appropriate antibiotic active against intestinal infection,
Metronidazole, and probiotics.
Use boiled for 20 minutes and cooled water.
Stop outside foods and beverages.
Clean the local area with liquid
povidone iodine and keep the area aerated by using loose clothes.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, ENT & General Surgeon
