Do Patients Suffering From Myelomeningocele Also Suffer From Chiari Malformation?

I am 34 years old and have spina bifida myelomeningocele and i haven t been diagnosed with any other things associated with it. but today i was having a conversation and i said I didn t have chari malformation Type II and they said that s impossible, because everyone with spina bifida myelomeningocele also has chiari Malformation Type ii...is this true?
