Do Nausea, Reduced Appetite With Significant Weight-loss Need Medical Attention?

I have been feeling ill for a while. I am extremely thirsty. Have a weird almost sweet taste that doesn t go away. I am fatigued. I have lost about 25 pounds in the last 6 weeks. I have bouts of nausea and not much appetite. Haven t seen a doctor. Wondering of this could be serious.

Here you have complaint of weight loss....
For that your detail physical examination done and accordingly investigated....

Chronic illness can lead weight loss....

First if diarrhea or heat intolerance present then hyperthyroid can be there...It is ruled out by serum thyroid profile...

Second HIV like infection if suspected can lead weight loss....for that ELISA test done...

If fever and cough present then tuberculosis ruled out by sputum examination....

If excess stress taken then it can lead weight loss....

Diabetis , chronic respi ilness, COPD , chronic gastrointestinal causes etc can lead weight loss....

Investigate preliminary with...
-random blood sugar
-LFT
-blood smear examination
-CRP etc....

Consult physician and according to examination and history investigation needed.
