Do Nausea, Fever And Partial Redness Of Skin Need Immediate Medical Attention?

Inquiring about a 61 year old who feels nausea, has a fever of 101 degrees and skin on stomach back and neck is very red looking compared to rest of skin. Trying to decide if I need to get him to go to urgent care. Nausea started yesterday; rash and fever started today.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I don't think that you require urgent care. For fever 101, kindly take tab paracetamol, tab. Ondensetron for nausea. Keep your self hydrated. If getting recurrent fever, then consult with physician, you may require basic lab investigations and treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale
