Do Muscle Cramps Cause Breathing Difficulty?

Hello, I’ve had Asthma/COPD but I’ve always kept it under control. In 2016 the smokies and many surrounding counties had forest fires, during that time my asthma became uncontrollable. I’m now living in my home under a air purifier because everything seems to trigger my asthma. Recently I’ve had problems with my foot. The other night I took a muscle relaxer for my foot and my breathing became easier...every time I take the muscle relaxer, my breathing seems better. I’m able to go hours without my nebulizer. Is it possible that my lungs could be having attacks due to muscle problems?
