Do Morning After Pills Cause Heavy Menstrual Bleeding?
I took the morning after pill two months ago. He didn t ejaculate in me but I was concerned that some might have landed around there. I have since had a heavy period but now my second period is late. I have done two pregnancy tests with both negative results over a week apart... is this normal?
Hello The changes to your menstrual cycle is normal after taking morning after pill, your period may arrive earlier or later than expected, and your bleeding may be heavier than usual, since the morning after pill works by forcing he uterine lining to shed entirely to clean out all tissues inside the uterus so the possibility of pregnancy is weak but that will mess up your hormonal balances and as a result you have irregular periods for next months which can resolve gradually. So there's no need to be worry.
Hope I answered your question Best regards Dr.Noor Farid
