Do Hypoxia And Polycythemia Cause Prolonged Hiccups?

Husband has been diagnosed with hypoxia and polycythemia as secondary, uses oxygen every night. Lately he has hiccups for hours 7 or more continuously, even while sleeping with oxygen on. This can go on for days then nothing for 3-4 days. My question - are these hiccups caused by hypoxia or polycythemia? Should he mention to doctor or what can he do to stop them. Please help I can t sleep with him hiccuping all night. Scared he ll stop breathing. He is 73. Any info you can give me would be much appreciated.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if this is the history of hiccup then it may not be due to medical condition that is having but it could be due to hyperacidity and this can be well treated with "Tab omeprazole 40 mg and Domperidone 30 mg" once in day, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
