Do Ear Piercing Scars Heal By Themselves?

I got my ear pierced at the top (helix) a few weeks ago and now I have a pimple-like bump that is filled with pus on the back of the ear next to where the piercing is. It also looks a bit swollen. Will this heal on its own or what measures should be taken to get it treated?

I would advice you to use antiseptic solution to clean it & apply antibiotic ointment on it .
