Do Diarrhea, Nausea And Back Pain Cause Elevated Liver Enzymes?

My doctor told me my liver enzymes are elevated. I m having severe pain in my lower left back with nausea and diarrhea. I m very weak. It started two days ago. Anything I try to eat has a terrible taste. Could this have anything to do with the elevated liver enzymes? I have numerous health issues with one being RA. They reduced some of my medications to see if my blood work will level out.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
I have gone through your considerations

If i were your treating doctor i would like to know about
Your age
Other symptoms like jaundice,pruritis,pale stools
Duration of Rheumatoid arthritis
Any medicine such as methotrexate

In my opinion bad taste in mouth, nausea and vomiting are due to increased liver enzymes.
Increased liver enzymes may have been caused by the use of drugs such as methotrexate.
I would suggest you to meet a rheumatologist who will ascertain activeness of your Rheumatoid arthritis and a gastroenterologist who will look after your liver enzymes

Thanks
Hope you got your answer
Further querries will be appreciated
Wish you good health
