Do Dark And Tender Nipples With Milky Yellowish Discharge Indicate Pregnancy?
Hi, I am 36 year old female i have been on progesterone and estrogen replacements for 2 years. Starting today I am having breast aches and when I was in the shower I noticed my nipples where dark and tender so I squeezed one this milky yellowish stuff came out, I do have one child and he is 15 years old. Can I be pregnant if my last period was in May 2015?
I would suggest you to take a pregnancy test 2 weeks after your last sexual intercourse which can give you a reliable result. Kindly check your prolactin levels. High prolactin levels can also cause breast discharge. Breast discharge could be due to infections, tumor like growth or hormonal reasons. All these causes should be ruled out. Since the hormonal levels are normal, histopathological examination and culture and sensitivity of the discharge should be done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
