Do Black Cherries Cause Black Coloured Stools?
Can black cherry extract cause dark black stool? Can Magnesium cause dark black stools? I have cirrhosis with bleeding esophageal varices. I have had to have any banded in over a yesr. I have been very nauseated for 4 days. Today I have had diarrhea. The last one was just black water. No bloody vomit. Anita

I really appreciate your concern, Melena needs to be ruled out and for that it may needs some investigations like stool examination, colonoscopy, it may be due to oozing of blood in intestine else magnesium may not be the cause hope this information helps.
