I went to an urgent care clinic last night because of my severe cold and cough. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and methylprednisolone for my congestion as he said. I took it as prescribed for the first day. Now, at night , I am having trouble . I am feeling my blood rushing and kind of dizzy. General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

It is understandable to be concerned regarding the use of steroids but they are often given for short term use for symptoms such as yours. Short term use is mainly associated with stomach upset because of irritation of the stomach lining, no long term complications.

It is possible that the dizziness and abnormal blood rushing sensation may be related to your illness itself and not necessarily the medication.

The 4mg strength is normal, adults would need a dose between 32 to 64 usually.

If you remain concerned then you should see your doctor for assessment.

I hope this helps
