Do Weiss Floaters In Eyes Disappear By Themselves?

I see conflicting information across many internet sites regarding what happens to Weiss floaters - they do not disappear, they do disappear/sink below eye line? Is there any assurance you may give as I have developed one and it drives me completely crazy most days

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Floaters commonly disappear on their own. Floaters may occur due to various eye conditions. In case the floaters / flashes are causing you discomfort & are affecting your vision then you should not wait for it to disappear on its own but get your eyes checked.

Left neglected it may get worse. You may need medications or some surgical interference(Vitrectomy). The surgeon may have to remove the gel along with the floaters.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
