Hello! I am using Utrogestan capsules twice a day vaginally and will go for my pregnancy test on Thursday (we are in the process of IVF)... I would like to know... it feels like I could be getting my period, but can utrogestan delay the onset of a period at all? Thanks!
Yes, it does. Progesterone can delay your period, do a pregnancy test must be performed. If the pregnancy test is negative, the medication is stopped, and a period will occur in 2–7 days.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
