Do Makena Shots During Pregnancy Harm The Foetus?

I m really worried. Started getting makina shots, my obgyn assure me there were no side affects for my baby and myself. I asked for the information paper that came with the box and read it at home. Now I m worried I read the information and it doesn t sound good! What happens if I stop. Plaese help!

Dear patient
makena shots contain hydroxyprogesterone and is indicated to prevent premature labour. It doesn't n have any side effect on baby. it actually prepares uterus for sustaining placenta and the baby inside.
Do not suddenly stop it and you can talk to your Obstetrician regarding this.
