Do Clotrimazole And Betamethasone Dipropionate Treat Redness And Itching On The Penis?

My girlfriend was prescribed clortimazole and betamethasone dipropionate cream to prevent yeast infection I started getting a white substance on tip of penis looked it up I believe it s balanitis I started experiencing the white stuff then itchyness redness then tight skin which now has like little cuts which I believe is from the tight skin stretching during sex my question is would this cream also help me

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that the white stuff on the tip of penis along with itching, redness and tight skin also known as phimosis seems to be due to fungal infection known as Mucocutaneous Thrush and there is a possibility that you might have contracted it from your wife..
I would suggest you to consult an Internal Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and he can also advise urethral swab culture and microscopic eximation of white stuff to confirm tha cause..
In case of Thrush you can be advised Oral antifungal medicines for a period of 3 weeks..
You can be advised to eat plenty of Probiotics like Yoghurt..
You can also be advised to apply antifungal ointment like Clotrimazole ointment..
Maintain a proper hygiene and abstain from sex or atleast use a condom..
