Discomfort And Mild Pain In Testicle. Had Vasectomy Years Back. Underlying Cause?
I have noticed over the past few months discomfort and mild pain in my left testicle. The pain isn't persistent (usually doesn't last more than a half day). Today I noticed it a few hours ago and goes away when I sit. But if I shift in my chair or use my arms to lift myself up I can feel it. It is also uncomfortable when I walk and the underside of the testicle is sensitive to the touch. For what it is worth I am 38 years old, 5' 11" tall and about 195 pounds. Also, I had a vasectomy about 6 years ago. Thank you!
Hello and welcome to HCM, Hello and welcome to HCM, Vasectomy is unlikely to cause pain in the testicle. The pain in the testicle can occur due to infections, inflammations, local skin condition, etc. A semen analysis as well as urine examination can be done to look for evidence of infection. A clinical examination is required to look for the local condition of the skin and surrounding structures. You need to consult a surgeon for clinical examination, relevant investigations and thus management. In case of infection, appropriate antibiotics will clear away the infection.
