Difficulty In Breathing Due To Growing Nasal Bone. Any Other Treatment Other Than Surgery?
Good morning sir, my husband is 33 years old and he started developing breathing problem, so he consulted ENT , they are saying that his nasal bone has grown and required surgery. I would like to no whether there are any other alternatives apart from surgery and what are the bad side effects of his condition. Please help me.

THE SURGERY IS DONE TO PERFORM CORRECTION OF NASal passages so that the obstruction is cleared as there are many factors in this
if you have no major block controllin the nasal secretions and keeping the size of all turbinates i nose by precautions can help you
as these are hypertrohied due to reular exposure to dust in indis
to prevent size increase of turbinates and exposure to allergens apply neomycin h ointment in nose bd for 6 months to prevent allergen from touching nasal mucosa
put sea water 2 drops at night in each nose to drain mucus and clear nose and throat
avoid medicines which can increase mucus secretions in nose and sinuses
take antiallergic sos for blockage and irritation
you can try for 6 months

your husband is having sleep apnea syndrome, which is probably due to nasal obstruction due to deviated nasal septum..
follow the advice as given by your ENT surgeon..
this condition need to be corrected by surgery only..
