Did 20 Min Rapid Test For HIV, Was Negative. Have Low WBC. Will This Show Positive For HIV?

hey i have a 3.9 for wbc is that somthing to be worried about. The charts seem to be all over the place on what is normal i seen normal charts from 3.9 to 11 and seen them from 4.3 to 11. I got a hiv test 20 min rapid test last week. It was neg. if my wbc was low due to hiv would it have showed up on the test being pos already>?

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.

Your WBC count is not too low to get worried. Moreover WBC count may be low in certain other bacterial and viral infection.The low WBC count is not an early manifestation in HIV.
A repeat count may become normal after another 15 days or so. You need not worry about the same.
You didn't mention that your HIV rapid test was negative, how many days after your risky sexual contact. Only with that data, we can tell about the reliability of the test.
